I started my bronze works production when I attended Prof. Elliot Offner’s bronze making workshop at Smith College in U.S.A. Bronze working is similar to copperplate print in some ways, so I begin it quite easily. On the other hand, unlike print making, bronze works has its own characteristics in three dimensions: a variety of expressions different by angle, and spaces created by forms. Such factors fascinated me and immediately I began to make bronze works. I transformed human faces and bodies metaphorically into thin copperplates which I think produce a rich and illusionary space.
